Painting Imperial Assault Bespin Gambit Wave Minis

Just getting started painting Imperial Assault Bespin Gambit new wave models for one of our favorite customers.  The order consists of 21 minis total.  Including:

• 1 Bespin Gambit expansion pack

• 2 ISB Infiltrators Villain Packs

• 1 General Blaise Villain Pack

• 1 Lando Calrissian Ally Pack

• 1 Bossk Villain Pack

• 3 Additional Ungnaught Tinkerers

Ugnaught Tinkerers

These guys are like the janitors in Imperial Assault.  There aren’t very many examples online of painted ones, so this is my interpretation.  I want to keep them dark and looking like outcasts, so I wont be adding too many highlights.

Added a few details such as copper on tools, to make it more interesting.

About half finished.  I’ve drastically muted the colors to fit the look I wanted.  Just need to add minor highlights, damage to the tools, possibly paint eyes on (haven’t decided yet) and then paint the bases.

I actually ended up nearly re-doing them completely.  I wasn’t happy with several parts.  I’m still sort of feeling my way through painting these guys since they are completely new (AKA very little reference material).  I’m really liking how they are ending up looking though, with the addition of the brown gloves and boots.  Also the apron trim and blackened eyes.  I still have a few minor details to hit, but overall close to being done.  My phone broke yesterday so I snapped these with my older tablet.

Davith Elso

All finished.  Highlights and base are done.  Varnish and gloss applied. Oh and I changed his hair from dark brown to black, because lo and behold, Davith Elso has black hair!!

Lando Calrissian

ISB Infiltrators

Lastly, we are painting the 2 sets of ISB Infiltrators.  Doing them white at first then adding the armor colors.

Kind of a bittersweet moment.  We are finished with this order!  But we’re also…. finished… with this order.  It’s been so fun painting these for Savas.  We truly hope he enjoys using them at the tables.  Thanks for letting us paint your little world, man!
